About Us
WHY OKATOMA CABIN
Experience a vacation on the Okatoma Creek. It is located in Seminary Ms. 18 miles out of Hattiesburg Ms.
If you enjoy the outdoors, this will give you memories that will last a lifetime. Our family has been staying on the creek for at least two weeks a year since 1996 and cannot get enough. We canoe the creek and stop at the perfect swimming holes for a dip. Swim in the waterfalls along the way. You can go fishing for Bass, Bream and Catfish on the creek. There is a refreshing 1-hour tube on the property to the cabin. We love to do that or you can walk the scenic roads on the property or just sit on the covered back porch and enjoy the view. Our family purchased the property and would love to have you as a guest so you can enjoy the good clean family fun and make your own memories.
Amenities
This spacious cabin has 2200 sq. ft. of living space and will sleep 10 adults comfortably. In this cabin you will find:
- Two master bedrooms each with a king size bed.
- Two loft bedrooms each with a full size bed.
- A futon in the living room.
- Kitchen furnished with all amenities.
- Two bathrooms with tub/shower (linens supplied).
- 35 foot porch overlooking the river
- Outdoor shower hot and cold
- All concrete under Cabin for outdoor adventures
Rates
Two night minimum for 560.00,
Three night is 610.00.
Four nights 660.00,
Five nights 710.00,
Six nights 750.00,
Weekly rates 800.00.
Holiday weekends is a Three night Minimum.
Security/Damage Deposit 200.00.
Minimum age for rental 25 years old.
THINGS TO DO
Canoeing
Upper short trip of the Okatoma begins at Seminary (MS Hwy 590) and ends at your Outfitters designed location. It is approximately 7 creek miles with the 3 main falls of the upper run. The trip usually takes 3 to 4 hours (this allows ample time for picnicking and swimming).
Swimming
Since we are directly on the river you can swim or float on the river. This is very popular and a good swimming location. Sand bottom.
Tubing
Bring your own tubes and 45-60 minute tube within walking distance.
Bird Watching
Watch the hummingbirds feed on the back porch.
Fishing
Catfish, Bream and Bass.
